I liked more the Rotating Light Saber from the inquisitor on "Rebels".
And I reaallyy hate that droid design..it is even worst for landscape traversing than the R2 designs....
Your work however is great here.

Occurs to me that a cross-shaped lightsaber would that would also be great in warding off Dracula.

Feel free to use it if you like; I'd be interested in seeing what you'd do with it.

The cross-guard Lightsaber is probably the single stupidest idea JJ Abrams ever came up with; Move the wrong way and you slice off your own wrist. It makes zero sense.

I'll agree to the point that it's the stupidest thing he did in Star Wars. Imo though he made a number of even dumber mistakes in Star Trek. Probably in Lost too, but I've never watched that show and therefore can't say. And didn't he do Armageddon... the movie where they train oil drillers to be astronauts rather than do the much simpler task of training astronauts how to do drilling?
No, the cross-shaped lightsaber IS dumb, indeed. But the *dumbest* idea he's had in a lifetime of dumb ideas? That's highly debatable.

JJ Abrams is in competition with Michael Bay for stupid ideas. I never watched "Lost", it never appealed to me.

To me neither. Just from little I've heard it was obvious from the start that they were making up stuff as they went; providing no logical basis for any of it that could be shown at the end - which I gather indeed proved to be the case.

I see it sorta like Ed Wood.
Sure he did some dumb stuff in movies, but he did try.

True enough. He still does. It'll be interesting to see if he can repair the damage to Star Wars caused by The Last Jedi.
