Shape of the vessel is consistent with the description - "had the capability of maneuvering underwater as well as in the atmosphere".

Not to mention outer space.

Outer space is not filled with air or water, so there is no need for a shape that looks aerodynamic. However, I see your point now. The shape is such that collisions with "microasteroids" at high speeds would do the least amount of damage.

Well, gravitational shielding goes a long way preventing damage at all speeds.

What is gravitational shielding?

The bending of gravitational waves around an object... so when tuned precisely, would nullify any kinetic or other energy hitting it.

Do they use gravitational shielding all the time?

Maybe it's just the texture, but the ship has a definite Battlestar Galactica feel to it.
I like it!

I'd heard Atlantis had a floating city of sorts, but I didn't know they had anything that flew. You would think some archaeological dig had found one by now, from any ancient culture really. There are scholars on YouTube who reckon the Sahara desert was once an ocean that the Atlanteans drained of water, but I could find no speculative maps of this ancient ocean on Google images

It may have been an ocean, but it was very green once.

I think that was in the age of Leo, at that time the sphinx had the head of a lion before someone in a later age re-carved it into something else.

My research on prehistoric civs lead me to ancient Indian texts and a place they referred to as Tripura. It fits in well with Plato's account of Atlantis, yet adds aspects of advanced tech used by antediluvians both in that realm and others as well. The Indian texts also reference their own Vamanas, which it is written were capable of travelling in the sky, underwater and outer space.
There has been at least one underwater archaeological find made off the coast of India as a matter of fact... the lost city of one of their gods. What's suspect about that dig is that during that investigation suddenly all work was stopped by their government. That's of course made many surmise they found some kind of advanced tech that they feel the world is not ready for.
There are several other places on Earth where anomalous finds were made and then all work came to a screeching halt... public work of course. I've personally been told of one underwater city near Gulfport, Mississippi, another off the western tip of Cuba, and more off the Azores.
I've also heard a Naval officer say they found something akin to a Stargate somewhere at the bottom of the Atlantic ocean.

You see a boat preserved all the way from ancient Egypt some 4000 years old, nobodies ever dug up an ancient car let alone a plane, sorry you just don't see it without going into the world of conspiracy land

Maybe the past isn't as advanced or as primitive as people think. And if you could see it, primitive or advanced or not could you really understand it anyway? We can't understand and re-engineer a rocket built in the 60's much less anything else.

It makes one wonder if some of those types of UFOs don't hail from another planet, but have come from the ancient past before the deluge.
