Description George Patton was a valiant fighter, and a pioneer of armored warfare, who made numerous improvements to tank warfare in the form of communications, tank movements, etc. Under his direction, one of the greatest technological improvement in warfare was introduced in the form of the Patton Pawn, beating Germany during the Battle of the Bulge. With it's massive firepower, resilient armor, and walking ability, the Patton Pawn was able to wade through enemy lines, "like crap through a goose."

Great ! There is a serie of french graphic novels called "Les divisions de fer", an uchronic WWII where first Nazi Germany, soon followed by the others countries, used this kind of "Star Wars" like armord vehicles. This Patton and this Tank will be right in place there !

Cool!

I got some feel for alternative history from the books by Robert Turtledove.

I am a great fan of Turtledove myself. Surprisingly, to my knowledge none of his books has been translated into French. A shame. But apart from the World War series and Guns of the South, no advanced technology was involved in his novels. Just point of divergence.

Pity his works also haven't been set to film.

There's also an episode or two of Star Trek where they had to right a wrong in the past to correct the future.
