Description A nameless cowboy figure, resting in an enchanting pose, gazing at the observer…

Usually, cowboy characters pose a "macho" appearance, but they can also be presented in a more delicate manner. The thing that I love about this style of attire so much is its ornateness. Just like the imposing shapes of the gloves and the boots are a contrast to the decorative fringes on the hat and the jeans, it combines the strong masculine with the gentle feminine. It is something that can be intensely alluring when combined well- and I don't know any other style that can do this quite as well.

In the history of art, throughout every decade and every period, people have continuously celebrated the beauty of the feminine, and I find that through these hyper-romanticized "neo-western" motives we can also celebrate the natural beauty of the masculine, without the attached predispositions of what the terms "masculine" and "feminine" stand for.

My fascination towards this genre was discovered only very recently. Before this, I associated all kinds of cowboy/gunslinger/outlaw attire with only the grotesque motives of the spaghetti western, but then I came across an artist (goes by name Qende) that works with these motives in such an appealing way, that it completely changed my perspective, and me made appreciate the genre for its pure visual symbolism and aesthetic.
