My first decent picture of the newest addition to the family. His name is Bear and he is about 5 months old. He has to be separated from the other ferrets because for some reason they are violent with him; so he lives in the cage that you can see behind him. It's hard to get pictures of him because he moves fast!Taken July 29th, 2007

I love ferrets!
In a lot of ways, I think they are cuter than cats.
And they can come anywhere, which is an extra plus.
When I get the place and the money together, I'm gonna get me a ferret.

The ferrets are all technically my sister's but they like to play with my fat white cat.
Lol, cats are much more manageable than ferrets because once they're out, you have to watch them all the time because they're baaaaad little creatures that get into everything!!!

I shot a Pet Show last week and the overall winner was a Ferret owned by a Lovely Young Lady.

At this show were different species of animals being judged in 1 category or "ferrets for ferrets" "cats for cats", etc? I don't think it would be fair if a dog was compared to a ferret!

I got a couple of photos of it with its owner, you can see a crop of it here -> ferret , the show had categories for different species, the ferret won its category and also won the best overall in show, there was a totally seperate dog show afterwards.

Cute! Nice shot. I know they are fast. One of my friends has ferrets and he had to keep one separated from the other two ferrets he had because the other two would gang up on the one and attack.

It's great, but I just... well, looking at you... y'know... I never had you down as a ferret owner, lol!
Anyway, this is a fine looking creature. Why ferrets? Were they in your family? I would never have thought of a ferret. I mean I know about them as pets, but, y'know, you go for whats usual - dog, cat. Wish I'd have thought different, maybe.
So, do they need a bath weekly, walking, claws clipping, etc? What? Someone said they smell. Can't be worse than dogs, male cats etc? I'm intrigued.
Oh, and er, in terms of an advanced crit on this, what you looking for, photo quality? What? Or do you just put that on everything.

Hehehe- well, I'm not some superficial snob who just thinks of herself 24/7! 
We got our first ferret Precious about 7 years ago (she's in my gallery "posing" with my cat who is loving her) because we got the white cat a few years before Precious and he took a real liking to me.
I put advanced critique on everything because I always love to hear what people say about anything I post. Photo quality on this= SUCKY, lol, but I post my animal pictures because they're adorable and they have better natural poses than humans can attempt to achieve!
They need a bath as much as a cat or dog. Their nails get sharp pretty fast so they get them trimmed. They stink no matter what, even when they're fixed and babies smell the worst. Yep- they certainly worse than cats and dogs by far, lol. Took lots of getting used to!

Poo! That's a put off, smelly. But hey, they're gorgeous. I'm gonna look through and find my favs. Ok hon? who know's I may go down the local sanctuary and make enquiries. We all should live close to and care for animals. It makes us more human.
