This is one of those photos...that I don't think many people will care for besides myself...but I think it might be the best I've ever taken...maybe It's just me being sentimental, I don't know...

This is my one of my sisters, Curista. When she was a baby she could fit in one hand. lay in my palm. Now she's 5 years old, and she's a silly one...It's so rare to see her like this, calm, and laying down, picking apart flowers and grass...

I think it's effective at showing how peaceful she is, maybe seeing her face might have increased the appeal but I still think it's effectively shown regardless. I like how the blanket is curving into the centre of the picture with her, it gives the photo a more interesting focal point. I think if you'd tried making the photo fuzzy, either with Vaseline or on Photoshop, then it could have added to the 'dreamer' quality of it, but overall I have to admit it is quite a sweet picture. I think the love for your sister shows through in it.

I think this is lovely. I really enjoy photos like this, because they bring back a lot of good memories, of just being a kid, the simple moments.

you are becoming very good at this composing a shot, even if it seems happen chance. Your eye sees the moment, your brain the composition. Thanks for the post.

thank you...It's something I've been trying to pay more attention to, setting up a still life scene is so easy, but subtracting elements to make an unstaged photo is so much harder at tiems, to tune out things you don't need.

if you look in her hands she has a flower she had ripped apart and was trying to put back together.
