Description laid down to rest
closed the eyes
the palms outstretched
sunken serenity...
the body a landscape
each part a distant land
head to toe
hand to hand...
beneath skin surface
the underworld explored
too strange to ignore
my entirety a door...
displaced
no place was mine
yet all passed through me
no reckoning of time...
The sunset on a beach.
waves lapped shore
steps taken on them
bubbles gently underfoot...
abreast waves
the sunset gave
brilliance to behold
peach-pink, cyan, gold...
electric motes through gleams
white-blue-violet arcing bolts
blinding flashes of light
the sunset flared...
gleaming shards pulled from earth
gathered in star formation above
pointed, rotating, reflecting
white flames of sunlight
dancing playfully with the clouds...
from beach I was
from ocean I was
from inside sun I was...
A dense and tranquil forest.
light beams descended
unheeded by lilting leaves
softly brightening the earthen floor...
towering ancient trees
vibrant fragrant flowers bloom
quiet birds with ruffled feathers
in the silence of the breeze...
twisting shadow body
in the dark nearly beyond sight
bending from the light
peacefully enjoying my sight...
from a branch I stared
as a bird I stared
as the breeze I rushed
at a stream bubbling over rocks...
the loudest sound determined
a primal thirst
deep in the distance
the stream still went on
an endless song...
in the ripples of the water
there were little places
where light did not reach
passing inside
all curved, veered, bent...
in streaks through this
black abyss
there was no here or there
no dark or light
simple beauty never spoken
only felt...
it folded again and again
it split again and again
I was back in tune
gazing at the full moon...
a circular attraction
it grew larger and smaller
a medium to more
tunnel to dreams...
unbounded I was vexed
by distant stars and gases
cosmic flowering
loving eyes in the dark...
the flesh moved again
felt again and took me again
had I ever left the room?
