Description So a friend of mine got me a Kato 11-103 chassis, which is a tiny 4-wheeled N scale chassis commercially available. Tasked with designing a locomotive shell to fit over the chassis, I looked through my archives of the internet and found a prototype, a pair of modified Baldwin-Westinghouse steeplecabs rebuilt into boxcabs for the Pacific Electric. By the end, I came up with this, a 4-wheeled boxcab in the same style with angled cab fronts. The name "Dockscab" comes from the work these boxcabs were tasked with, shifting cars in Long Beach Harbor, so the name felt natural to me. Anyway, it'll soon be made in N scale so... enjoy!

The chassis reminds me heavily of some of those old Tyco units - Perhaps this could apply to HO scale too? Lovely job with this, it really has that Pacific Electric look down.

Rey this came out so nicely finished and colored, and I love the PE zebra stripes!Β  It would be a lovely-looking machine in real life-- I can't wait to see it built in N, shuttling cars about!

P.S., Awesome lettering and logo above the drawing!

Very nice concept. This would be perfect for my ALT-P.E. freight operations and yard in the 1960s/1970s, until new electric engines came in 1990.

Yes, i create a Alternative History Pacific Electric. On my world, the P.E. as update up to Subway standart by 1920, and expand even more from L.A., as built our own lines, like the San Diego - L.A. Air Line in 1925, used Brill Bullet. By 1950, the P.E. became a intercity network that operate every interurban on CA, like Sacramento Northern, and operate a entire electric network over California. Take a look here, i have the fleet, map and some history of my Pacific Electric.

You're welcome. It's about time the electric boxcars get a chance to shine.
