I've never been able to tell the 3700s and 2900s apart...this doesn't all. Not a bad picture though. I like the angle.

The Bachmann stands up against the BLI better than I thought it would.  The lacy front ladder sides are a nice, delicate touch.

Oh, I don't know about that per se... the BLI clearly has plenty of superior details as well, like the finely-modeled cowcatcher, boiler handrails, and builder's plates. It's just that the Bachmann isn't a shameful model, either.

It's not shameful to me too, just wish Bachmann could update the tooling to look less smooth and waxy

The Bachmann actually seems decent compared to the BLI model, but it id clay and waxy looking.
