Here's the picture from the frame in my "Our Memories" deviation.It was a simple sketch of many of the video game characters I grew up with. Characters that inspired me, enthralled me, and overall entertained me through the years.

Of course I own none of these characters. They belong to their owners~

I do too, I'm actually working on another Charizard picture right now. After finishing that picture, I felt that I didn't do charizard justice, so I drew another pic of him. And he's looking great so far! ^^

Great idea. I've wanted to do something like this for a while. Good video game characters are not as common as they used to be, eh? But nonetheless, the good ones are something to behold. Nice piece. Glad to see someone who loves to reminisce.

It depends on what you consider good characters. Newer Characters like Drake(Uncharted), Altair/Ezio (Assassin's Creed), Niko (GTA IV), Layton (Professor Layton), GlaDOS (Portal), Alex Vance (Half Life 2), and the such are all brilliant characters. So there is certainly not a shortage of interesting characters in modern games, they just tend to favor the more realistic. (Which just makes them seem more amazing for doing the things they do!)

I guess my taste varies a little bit from yours. Maybe I can't get into any of these human characters. XD But point made.

With demographic of gamers heading into a more mature state, the old animalistic characters of yore are seeminly going extinct. Luckily there's still Ratchet and Clank, banjo, Daxter, and the respected ninty properties (although there has yet to be mention of another Star Fox.)
As much I love the old characters, I love the more human characters too. They just seem more relatable. But to each his/her own. ^^
