**You might want to Zoom In. This is a huge pic, it's like 1024px by 768px. Why is it that big? I don't know, that's the image size I chose when I did this.If you've played PokΓ©Mon GSC, then you know who this is. She's the cutest Johto..., scratch that, cutest Gym Leader ever, Jasmine (or also known as Mikan in Japanese, which makes no sense at all, since mikan means citrus fruit [more commonly known as the tangerine] in Japanese...so how do they get jasmine [which happens to be a flower] from a citrus fruit?).
I have to say, every time I've tried to draw her, I always failed to replicate the same style the anime uses. And this deviation is an example of one of those failures. Oh well. I drew this yesterday, and colored most of it today in Photoshop. I used the same technique as my "RMW - v1 Colored", but this time I removed the strokes (lineart) to hopefully match the look of the background.
Olivine Lighthouse (aka Glitter Lighthouse) is in the horizon way out in Olivine City's port. As for the glowy dots around the sun...I have no explanation for that.

I would've said A, B, or F. The sky is falling AND seagulls are out to get us! Ahhhhhhhhhh! Run for your life! We'll die of either being crushed, pecked, suffocated by atmospheric fumes, or blind from seagull poo.
(Maybe the fireflies are attracted to Jasmine/Mikan because she's so pretty.

Wow! Here are some other theories for the glowy dots around the sun.
(A) It's a GIGANTIC flock of seagulls out to get us!
(B) The sky is falling!
(C) It's snowing! (In July? o_O)
(D) It's not really the sun, but a gigantic pokemon's solarbeam recharging...
(E) Some idiots are setting off fireworks on a ship
(F) It's the poo from the gigantic flock of seagulls! Ahhhh!
(G) They're just fireflies.

That's totally awesome. As soon as I saw the pic I recignized her. but where to begin. The shading is amazing, and the effects on the water and sun are fantastic and the skye is great!
On a side note, I feel like whenever I find a really good deviation, I use the same words. >_<. I'm going to start working on new compliments.

lol. maybe a thesaurus would help, or maybe view other deviation comments and see how other people reply...(though that might not help 'cause a lot of people go, "cool..." or "wow!" >.>
