This art is what inspired me to read the Shira Calpurnia series and it is definitely one of my favorite Warhammer novels. Found her staring out at me at a Barnes & Noble and was immediately curious as badass ladies in sci-fi are a huge draw for me. So glad someone linked me here from Goodreads, your work is amazing, really love that mix of sleek and gritty. The work has so much attitude and character, not to mention a sense of dynamic motion that seems to carry through much of your work.Β

I believe you have captured the spirit of this particular occupation, not everybody wants to be an enforcer and often times the position is thrust upon the individual because for lack of more capable candidates he or she will have to do. Β Whatever drives the enforcer is truly Β a force that is almost elemental, whether they are armed to the teeth, masters of the martial arts, or just old fashioned get-this-job-done old schoolers, there is no substitute for them. Β Beautiful piece! Β

Love the background and the characters outfit is very strong. I'm feel the character needs a bit more masculine features. The color of the lips a more gray then purple to give that tied look. Perhaps chin a big more square then sharp. Just to get that feminine look out unless that's what you were going for, assuming this is a male character.Β

I like it very much. It has the right kind of "used" look that fits nicely in the setting of 40k! It always strikes me as strange that all those soldiers have polished plate armor at all times

Basicly shes the state police in the Imperium of Man, and deals with inner corruption, heresy and treasons, which puts her in some of the most complex webs of intrigue. Its as i can go without going into spoilers. Hope it helps.

And she is a strong character with a good arc through three books. It's refreshing reading a book with a female lead that isn't "herp derp I need men to do everything for me because I am weak and don't know what to do hurr".
