The story begins with Iris visiting Clair again at her GYM, during the visit Claire showed her a special dragon scales that her Dragonite had found. To the surprise of both of them as soon as they touched him at the same time the squid made them both merge into one. The new woman was surprised by what happened to "them" and did not know what to do with it.

A few days later, a new woman (now named Clairis) became a stronger GYM leader than Clair had ever been and a stronger dragon master at another level than ever before.
