Description EVEN though my exams r HARD as HELL, i somewhat had managed to finish this. I worked on a screenshot to make this, no vector-like tools used. completely drawn by hand(tablet)

Sister Esther Blanchett- from anime Trinity Blood! She is the one of the cutest APPEARANCE- VOICE(japanese) i've ever seen in an anime!!!(even though im an anime freak-completed over 130 series...)

this is her appearance from 3-4. episodes of anime.Later, her uniform is white with blue lines. that version is cooler XD

Oh Trinity Blood! My friend loves that show. When I went over to her house, she made me watch a few episodes. I think you drew Esther very well! She's very pretty and I really love how you shaded. The hair is amazing too.

I hear you on the exam part...but that aside this is epic. Well done...I just cant get over how good you have done this. How do you make the shading smooth out so well. I have a tablet too and I am using photoshopCS5 -any advice?
P.S. you got one of Abel, Cain or Tres?

well.. if u coloring an anime character, take it layer by layer for this drawing, only hair group hav 4 layers,by back to front order, 1-base (single color base layer)- 2- darker areas,-3- darkest areas-4- glowing areas (very light colour- for this picture's case: its PINK)u may add layers as many as u want for more shading detail. and btw, the smoothing had done with only "Smudge".

Make base the main and create a clipping mask for SHADE- and LIGHT layers. that's it for hair to create a clipping mask, right click to layer, select "create clipping mask", and photoshop will use the alpha(transparency) map of the previous layer. a nice feature of photoshop. this way, u cannot draw outside of your BASE layer. useful isnt it?

Thanks...its the clipping mask and the smudge I have trouble with and I will have a go...if not I might contact you later and tell you whats wrong...who knows...you might even be able to help someone as bricken as me

naww I dont think so...you did a pretty darn good job just there.
It is very hard to explain it to somone over the internet, always so much easier to just talk in person...BUT THAT IS NEVER GOING TO HAPPEN...just to clear that up
