The note shook in my hand as I read it to everyone. "She's gone."

Everyone sat there, staring at the little piece of paper. It was all that was left of Nessie. Nessie. The love of my life was gone. We didn't know where to look. The psychic couldn't see her.

"Where could she have gone?" Bella's voice cracked. Edward cradled her in his arms.

"It's my fault, Bella. I shouldn't have started that fight with Jacob. Sorry, mongrel."

"No harm done, literally, leech. It's my fault too. Sorry Bells.

"Okay love sick lovebirds," the psychic growled," We need to find Renesmee before someone or something does."

"Something?" Bella choked. Edward glared at Alice.

Spiky ignored her, but I could see the worry behind her eyes. "If we are going to cover any ground, we'll need to split up. Bella and Edward. Carlisle and Esme. Emmett and Rosalie. Jasper and me. Dog, you can go with Seth. He's on his way. We are going to cover all of Washington. Bella and Edward, take the Puget Sound Lowlands. Carlisle and Esme, please take the Coastal Range. Emmett and Rose, take the Cascade Range. Jasper and I will take the Rock Mountains, dog, you and Seth can take the Columbia Plateau." She split us all in pairs and assigned us a region. She said this all with a tone that said something along the lines off, "If any of you argue with me, I will be the last person you argue with." We nodded as Seth strolled in.
"You heard that, right, Seth? I'm not repeating."

Seth nodded solemnly. "Sorry, Bells. We'll find her."

Bella whimpered in Edward's shoulder. He stroked her hair and pulled her face away from him. "We'll find her Bella." He kissed her softly on the lips, though it lasted a long time. I growled. They ignored me. They ignored everyone, until Alice used excessive force to pry them apart.

The room was still for a few seconds until Doc broke the silence. "Lets go." All of us followed him to the garage. Each bloodsucker got into his or her respective cars. Emmett and Blondie took the Jeep, Doc and Snow White took the Mercedes, Spiky and Jasper got into the Porsche, and Bella and Edward got into the Ferrari. Seth looked at Bella's Mercedes Guardian longingly. I pulled his arm.

"Let’s go get the Rabbit," I said. "We'll see you guys around."
"Wait, Jacob." Edward got out of the Ferrari, ran inside, and came back out in a second. "Here, take the Volvo." I grimaced, but didn't say anything. It was faster than my truck, for sure.

I climbed into the drivers seat while Doc opened the garage door. Engine's blared and we stepped on the gas, and raced into the night. Yes. A race. That's what this was. We were all racing against time to find the girl we loved.
