Description Spring love... Amane had been hit hard by this powerful sickness. The look on Hikari's face when Amane had kissed her on the forehead. . . Amane still couldn't get it out of her head.
. . .
"Aah! This is almost like--" It's like I'm the same as Yaya.
She remembered her kouhai, who was well-known for being a "genuine lesbian," who hated men and was only interested in girls.
I wonder if I'm strange, Amande pondered.
"I wish I could tell you exactly how I feel, Hikari. But... even I don't understand my feelings. It's not a friendship. And it's not a simple adoration of a cute underclassman... But... love and having a relationship...well, since we're not man and woman...you know..."
Since we're not man and woman... Amane painfully repeated that phrase in her mind...and looked down. . . she was afraid of what would happen to them next...
I can't believe I got the Strawberry Panic light novel. I can't believe I waited so long to get the Strawberry Panic light novel. They are so entertaining in a bad, ecccentric, yet sometimes genuinely endearing way. And suddenly gayngsting Amane is so precious. Amane is somehow oblivious enough to dismiss everyone else jumping each other's bones, but when she has fuzzy feelings she is strange. This is the same setting where the library is so exclusively used for hook-ups that when Nagisa asked to check it out Shimuza assumed she wanted to go to third base. Heck, I'm only somewhat embellishing in the comic--all of those scenes are in the book. YES, even the couple of boys comment and GOOD LORD Shion's big question is almost verbatim save for a couple adjustments.

And don't worry watchers, I still think clothes flying are hilarious.

On an artistic note, I am reading a couple books on perspective. I haven't really gotten any better yet, I'm just more painfully aware how bad it is. But that's the first step??

I watched the anime online when I was in high school and while it is cheesy, I still like it. Those novels sound like they would be fun to read, especially because Amane is apparently Captain Oblivious. She probably thinks those girls making out in the library are practicing CPR. I enjoyed your comic; it was funny and well-drawn. I liked the bit about getting the yaoi vote too.

Is there an English translation of these novels somewhere or are you just able to read Japanese?

OMG... the light novel. You did a wonderful job at reflecting the glorious camp and endearing weirdness that is Strawberry Panic.
