Description September 1989 and the German Warship D181 Bremen sails down the River Tyne towards the North Sea.

D181 Bremen a Type 101A Hamburg Class Destroyer was commissioned 23/03/1964 and was decommissioned 24/02/1994.

Wonderful! I loved this type - they had a real WW2 look about them. I have a pic of the Schleswig-Holstein.

I think i read that they were the first Naval ships to be built after WW2 by Germany. I don't think i ever saw the Schleswig-Holstein
