Mostly because Dark Gaia got beat by Super Sonic easily.

I wouldn't say easily (Chip and the colossus played a huge part in the battle). Plus, Godzilla never fought anyone like Dark Gaia (the primordial entity of darkness, death and destruction). So I'm putting my money on DG.
