Still, Kim has much more experience and she knows how to battle super-powered opponents. Plus, if April is allowed to use her powers, Kim would be allowed to use her high tech battle suit, and that would be too much for April

True but episodes of this new series April has had developed powerful Psychic abilities. There was even an episode where due to a crystal April became practically the Jean Grey of the series. Not saying it would help her win especially since i think in the end episode April destroyed the crystal but her abilities are still very powerful and it could give her an edge.
