Well to be fair they kind of are protecting the Digital World but it's mostly because they're following Yggdrasil's orders and he's kind of an extremist
Yeah Frontier Dynasmon and Crusadermon were legit 100% evil thus disgracing the Royal Knight title that was stated many times in the first episode they appeared on
X-Evolution the Royal Knights were assigned to wipe out the X-Antibodies as they thought they were like the plague or something like that I kind of forget the exact details of that movie I need to rewatch it, they thought they were protecting the Digital World. thats what I remember! xD
Okay I don't why Alphamon was even following Yggdrasil in the first place! That usually isn't how he operates......AT ALL! There's a reason why he has the Empty Seat and has the title of Aloof Hermit
And in both Cyber Sleuth and Data Squad they just wanted to save their world by ANY means necessary
Except some Royal Knights did believe they didn't need to be that extreme of saving the Digital World. Thus why half of them join the protagonist's side
Heck its REALLY understandable in Data Squad why Yggdrasil want to destroy the Human world. Humans (mostly Kurata) kept screwing over the Digimon in the Digital world, but causing an incident that now endangered their entire world was the last straw for Yggdrasil. So they REALLY are trying to protect and save the Digital World. But Yggdrasil's ways are VERY extreme and usually comes off evil, but in reality he is doing what he really believes is protecting or saving the Digital World.

Which of these guys is the most powerful? My money is a tie between omnimon, alphamon and examon.
Also, there can be more than one of these guys right?
Like a tamer has a gallatmon but there is a wild gallatmon that is the royal knight right?

Alphamon hands down. The only way Omnimon would be tied with him if he was in his X-Antibody form.
Examon is huge, but that's what makes him the most destructive of the Royal Knights. Besides that I can't see him able to take on the Alpha-In-Force or the Omega-In-Force.
Yup! Though the Royal Knight one will probably be much stronger than the tamer's. They earn that title for good reasons! xD

They were the last two Royal Knights designed. Not sure if they were planned from the beginning xD
