yes. the best advice i can give is to draw as much as you can from life. do not draw what you think you see, but rather exactly what you are looking at. for example, if i'm drawing a bird from life, i wouldn't draw something that ends up looking like the twitter logo. i would draw exactly what the bird looks like, and hopefully, i can replicate it pretty well. take as many fine art classes as you can, always seek improvement, and most of all, you must be passionate about your work.
