Background

Long ago, the World of Dreams (夢の世界, Yume no Sekai) was a peaceful land where dreams come true, but everything changed when the World of Dreams came under the control of the Nightmare Force (悪夢の力, Akumu no Chikara). The only one that was able to stop these forces was the Legendary Precure, Cure Legend. She held the power of the Cure Crystals, magical artifacts that were used to summon the powers of what would become her successors. In the climax of the battle, Cure Legend used the last of her power to seal herself in with the Nightmare Forces, in hopes that they wouldn't return. This also caused her Legend Crystals to be discarded in the form of various trinkets, and in some occasion, Fairies. Today, the Nightmare Forces have escaped to Earth, and managed to turn the disciples of Cure Legend, the 13 teams of 55 Precure Warriors, into a new generation of Cure Crystals and a brand new breed of Team Crystals. The Fairies Momo (モモ) and Aoi (アオイ) were tasked to find a new generation of Heroes. That's when they found two high school students of Hope Star Academy (希望星学院, Kibousei Gakuin), known as Yumehoshi Momoko (夢星ももこ) and Mizumi Aoki (水見あおき). Together, Momoko and Aoki, with the powers of the Precure before them, fight to protect their world and the World of Dreams from the Nightmare Force. They are known as Densetsu/Yume Precure (伝説・夢プリキュア)!

Characters

Yumehoshi Momoko (夢星ももこ) - Momoko is the leader of the team, who shows her sense of justice as early as age 7, when she told off some bullies that were making fun of an old friend of hers. Momoko, along with Aoki, had just started school at Hope Star Academy (希望星学院, Kibousei Gakuin). When the two met their Fairies, the Fairy Momo (モモ) told her that she was tasked to find "the ones that will save our worlds from becoming a living nightmare." This is evident when a monster attacked the school. With Momo's instruction, Momoko transformed into Cure Rose (キュアロース). As Cure Rose, she is able to perform super jumps, her punches and kicks are enhanced, and she has the unique property of shooting enegry beams made of light from her palms. Her finishing move is the Precure Light Dream Shower (プリキュアライトドリームシャワー), in which she fires a large beam of light at the enemy using both of her palms.

Mizumi Aoki (水見あおき) - Aoki is the second member of the team. Although she might seem shy at first, but once you get to know her, she's quite friendly. Aoki, along with Momoko, had just started school at Hope Star Academy (希望星学院, Kibousei Gakuin). When the two met their Fairies, the Fairy Aoi (アオイ) told her that she was tasked to find "the ones that will save our worlds from becoming a living nightmare." This is evident when a monster attacked the school. With Aoi's instruction, Aoki transformed into Cure Blu (キュアブルー). As Cure Blu, she is able to perform super jumps, her punches and kicks are enhanced, and she has the unique property of super speed, allowing her to attack in quick succession. Her finishing move is the Precure Speed Dream Wave (プリキュアスピードドリームウェーブ), in which she runs around the enemy fast enough to produce a tornado to trap them before she kicks them upwards and out of the tornado as it vanishes.
