*ZOOM*You see, Arcanine was supposed to be a Legendary Pokemon
In fact, the Pokedex even call it a Legendary Pokemon. When the first legendary trio
was originally crafted, it was decided that Articuno, Zapdos, and Arcanine would be the three to represent ice, lightning, and fire.
Nintendo feared the idea of confusing gamers with two birds and one dog\wolf
so they decided to replace Arcanine with another bird. Therefore, Moltres became a part of the first legendary trio, and Arcanine became one of the strongest non-legendary Pokemon of the first generation.
I think Arcanine is better then molters And he had to be a legendary Pokemon Instead of molters
but Nintendo Decided to change that..there for i design this art to show all that Arcanine looks better
then Moltes to be a legendary Pokemon

Beautifully done! I love the effects of light and the butterflies you added. I love Arcanine too, besides Eevee and her evolutions, I wanted a big dog like that to keep the bullies away and get me to school faster.

I think they should have left Arcanine out of Gen I, put in one of the Gen II Pokemon they were planning to release, and then get rid of Entei and put Arcanine in the Legendary beast trio instead.

Let's see the good side: Now you can use Arcanine, who is better than Moltres, in any event because it isn't a legendary pokémon.

Moltres is beautiful, but I agree that Arcanine should not have been labeled as a pseudo-legendary. Looking at the new generations of Pokemon, honestly, don't they see that two birds and one dog are the least of their concerns? I've seen evolving ice cream cones and trash monsters. (Wasn't that what Grimer and Muk already perfectly represented?) Sorry, rambles. Beautiful piece, I love everything about it. Now this, I would buy.

Friendly reminder that the generation which brought you the ice cream and trash bags also featured a dragon based on the Greek mythological Hydra, a Samurai Pokemon, a serpent based on French royalty, a dinosaur-like Pokemon with blades for teeth, etc.
Another friendly reminder that the same generation that brought you Grimer and Muk (which are no different from Trubbish and Garboador and actually have less creative designs) also brought you Pokemon based on magnets and eggs.

I think after seeing klefki ( Pokemon Keys? Seriously ), the shield and sword pokemon ( I forget what it's called ) and also trubish / garbodor I think it's safe to say. . . . Nuff said.
Give it another gen and we will have pokemon shaped like guitars or pc monitors. Or even something more obsurd *Cringe*

And don't forget that 6th gen had some pretty cool Pokemon too--Greninja, Pyroar, Tyrantrum, Trevenant, and Dragalge, just to name a few.

Personally, I'm very happy that Arcanine isn't a legendary Pokemon, because then there'd only be one per game and I couldn't have it during the normal playthrough. That aside, this image is absolutely stunning, and an instant fav from me!

Arcanine was never supposed to be a legendary Pokémon. It's species is just "Legendary" because it's admired for its beauty and grace while running which are regarded as legendary. Just by the way.
Besides this you did a wonderful job here, the colours are beautiful and the background makes Arcanine look mystic, I like that.
