Thank you, in fact it is a fractal, but manipulated a bit by applying a mapping to it in UF

Very nice. I like the desert-esque elements is it, like the sand-colored background, and the bits of yellow that hint at the middle of the flowers. One thing that I think could help along the desert theme would be to have the flowers be more defined. For example, not have them all run together in the middle, but have the browns show through in the middle. It would make it look much more like actual flowers in a desert.

Thanks Siggy, I appreciate you took the time to take a close look at it but I didn't really intend to imitate real desert flowers, I don't even know if flowers like these really exist in deserts (partly because Holland lacks any real desert, well we've got beaches and dunes It's just an artists impression of desert flowers, I invented them myself Secundo, it's hard to leave open spaces in the middle with this particular formula and mapping I used, but thanks again for your interesting comment, I really appreciate it...

You're quite welcome. Frankly, I really don't know if there are real desert flowers either in the world. I know they grow on cuctuses (cacti?), and that's close enough for me. I understand about the spacing, I don't know much about Ultra Fractal, but in Apophysis it's blindingly hard to get things to go where you want.
