Somewhere in the vastness of space there is a planet not to different from the one we call home. This planet, however, is very far away from us; located in some distant arm of the Milky Way or maybe an entirely different galaxy altogether. Yet this planet has oceans and continents filled with exotic species not found on Earth. Someday we may study this planet and its lifeforms and maybe even find clues to how life originated here on Earth. We may even encounter an intelligent species living on the planet. Maybe they are staring out into space right now asking the same questions and coming up with similar ideas and hypotheses. Yet we may never know anymore than they do...
