Description The village was small and quaint. But above all, this village was poor. The desert was this village's home, the village of Xeransis. Together, with their fearless and loved self-appointed leader, Yu Kanda, the small village, Xeransis, acquired food, water, and trading items from travelling caravans; belonging to those of higher class. And when times got extra hard, small towns were not out of their range, or ability, to attack.
But in the summer, this particular summer, things were particularly bad. Due to a drought, Xeransis's food supply had vanished, their oasis had long sense dried up, leaving them with nothing to sustain the small village.

The villagers of the travelling village took their grievances to their leader, only those who trusted he could fix the issues. When the problem came to Kanda, no one was surprised when they heard he had already devised an idea.

Several days of planning came and went, and soon the da to execute the plan came. Kanda gathered those he trusted enough to assist him in his plan; a plan that could save his village from starvation and dehydration.

When Kanda and his guards and men arrived at their destination, the palace, which lay home to the rule of a nearby province and his family, their intention was to get in, take what they needed, and leave. But this seemingly simple plan was thwarted not long after Kanda and his men entered.

Kanda, the ruler having known before his arrival, was promptly captured. His men were slaughtered, and only his guards, his friends, Daisya and Marie, were able to escape the wrath of the kings' men. Kanda was not able t. Instead, he was taken by the men to the king. After a short talk between the kind and the abrasive Kanda, he was thrown into the dungeon.

When Daisya and Marie were able to return to Xeransis, their news was spread fast, the entire village was shocked that their leader was gone, taken, stolen from them. The village fell into a state of panic and disarray.

Meanwhile, Kanda was being interrogated for all his crimes. The king had done his research on the desert ruler, most of it anyway. Kanda, however, wasn't telling of the objects he'd stolen, or what he had done with them, not even about those few people who had gotten in the way of his raids and had found themselves dead within a matter of minutes. His mouth wasn't giving away his crimes, nor did he betray its master by giving away the secret location of Xeransis.

The acid lined words Kanda did speak, however were those of curses and the slight worry for his people, the people that trusted in him to keep their rag-tag village alive, trusted him to protect them, even enough to come on the raid of the castle, only now to have their dead bodies burned, as to hide the atrocity. No pity was shed for the young ruler though. A thief and a criminal were his titles in the city, and they received no pity, only punishment and death.

And Kanda, ruler of Xeransis, was soon to meet his fate, the execution block. With his village in panic and unprotected, all Kanda could do was wait patiently for his death.
But just as hope was lost, and the strong ruler of Xeransis stand defeated at the gallows, everything changed. From somewhere in the distance, a circular weapon came to slice the rope that held the young man just above the ground, threatening to kill him. The rope was cut and Kanda fell.

By this time however, news of Kanda's execution spread far and wide, the news of his escape with several mysterious cloaked figures not travelling as fast. Xeranasis heard the news, and panic stopped. The village of tends and huts fell silent to mourn their ruler.

And now, Kanda was deep underground with people he didn't know. This underground organization had saved him for reason he didn't know. They hadn't spoken more than a few words to him, those words being "Shut up and stay here."
He was left in a room in the underground caverns, alone, with no explanations. And no one was coming to get him, to save him. Now all he could do was hope that these people wouldn't kill him and actually help him get back to his village, the simple life, all he wanted.
