8x8 inches, gouache and ink on Bristol board.The background's ink because I'm once again out of black gouache. Seriously, that stuff -does not last-, and costs a fortune! Kind of like the effect of the layers of ink, though... hmm.
Anyway, a few days back, myself and an acquaintance went off boating/fishing at a nearby lake. The first fish caught (by me) was an absolutely brilliant sunfish. Gold, orange, blue, green, gray.. the thing shimmered.
Sunfish/Moonfish pair is a tribute to all the sunfishes out there. The ones we caught (and fried in butter and breadcrumbs) tasted delicious!

great coloring you did on the fish!
I love the birght colors of it and how the colors blend together in the fins. Also, because of the dark background the fish really pops out!
And I really like the white dots which are made on the fins, it makes the fish look... shiny xD Like it's wet or something (:
