Stefano had a hold on my arm and he was dragging me back to my room "C'mon now... quit resisting, you're only going to get yourself hurt if you keep that."

I decided to ignore him. I didn't care if i would get hurt, i just wanted to run far far away and forget about him, forget about all i've been through in the past days.

He sighed, clearly annoyed with me struggling. "At least you will be more subordinated in a few seconds. I just have to handle it a little while long." I felt his grasp loosen up a little.

                                                             He's distracted! I bet now i can release myself, now!

I took that chance and pulled fiercely my arm away.

"H-Hey!"

Not once I looked back; i just ran and ran to where my legs would take me, there would definitely be safer. As i was running, all i could thing was that i had to get back to the throne's room, that i needed to get back to Skylar as fast as possible.

                                     I would do better if i went out to look for an exit! I'm sure Skylar can meet me outside...
                             i'll leave a note for him somewhere! Wait... that won't give my position away? Of course it will!
                                                                                I'm such an idiot!
                Hmm... how can i let him know that i'm planning on escaping the hell out of here without giving our enemys an hint?

As i was so distracted in my thoughts, I ended up bumping into something, more likely someone.

"Oh, look at what the cat brought..." A mischievous male voice addressed to me.

I looked up - since he's was way taller than me -, and instantly saw that scary, reddish eyes.

I instinctively backed away a few steps. In the midst of panic, I ended up changing my feet and falling backwards on the floor.

                                                                           Another vampire?! Is it pure-blooded?

"Such a scarycat you are missy." He stretched his arm towards me and offered his hand to me. "C'mon, take it." He encouraged me with gentle hand movements. "I won't hurt you, missy... well, at least not for now i can assure you."

I remained still in my place. Who were this guy? I had never seen him in the days I was here. He had dark hair, almost color like sapphire. His clothes were old-fashioned; he was wearing a white shirt pleated at the collar, a marron vest, a black jacket with white finishes strips and, also, a black tie disposed around his neck. His pants were black as for his gloves. This guy seemed almost a gentleman as Stefano himself. Maybe the two of them were related?

In the meanwhile, a young girl with long blond hair, approach us. She also had crimson eyes and pale skin.

                                                                                  She must be a vampire too.

This woman was wearing, at the top, a brown vest over her ruffled white shirt, and at the bottom, a black skirt to the knee. Once more,her hands were covered with black gloves.

                                                                 What is with this people using black for every damn clothes?!

Despite her vampire characteristics, she seemed somehow familiar to me.

                                                                                  I know her... i'm positive sure...

"What are you doing Lysandre?" She asked. "Why are you hobnob with Stefano's toy?" Her vast maturity could be captured in her voice's tone.

"Well, i'm just being polite, that's all." He answered.

The elegant lady before me and next to him sighed. "You have no remedy."

"For what? Being polite?"

"Of course not. It's for paying with what is not yours. I know your scheme very well."

He rolled his eyes at her. "You only know me for a few weeks."

"It's more than enough." She said. "I've seen you do it over and over. And they always fall for it"

Already annoyed, he crossed his arms over his chest, then he looked at her with piercy eyes. "And that's a problem how? I got to feed."

She gazed away from him to pay attention at my shaky figure, still sitting on the floor. Her blank expression sent a cold shiver up and down my spine. "You will end up getting into trouble with him."

"I really don't care, 'ya know." He waved his hand in the air in disregard.

"Suit yourself." She said as she walked away from us.
