Cynthia hadn’t always been comfortable being on the mat. Her game was always about power and strength. Working with Vikki over the last month plus had made her much more comfortable. Vikki had showed her a lot, but maybe nothing more than to not panic. It wasn’t the end of a fight if you were outside your comfort zone. Using that knowledge, and acting quickly, Cynthia used her power to roll Kimiko over then eat some pain to pull her head out. Not only did she extricate herself she turned it into offense. Keeping Kimiko’s legs tied up she turned it into a form of leglock. She slid herself up and pinned Kimiko’s legs with her own thighs. It was an impressive move and it gave her a chance to catch her breath while working Kimiko legs.
Noticing Janie on the outside and the concerned look on her face, Cynthia can help but take a shot.

“What’s the matter Janie….. not the outcome you were expecting? Maybe if you spent more time here you’d see we are all growing as fighters. The choice is yours though and it seems you are choosing… and wrong.”

The words stung Janie and she let her anger show on her face.

Kimiko in the meantime couldn’t free herself and her frustration was starting to mount. She was relegating herself to shortcuts, something she was not against doing, but she didn’t feel she’d need it today. Now all she could think of was to reach for the ropes and hope for the proverbial rope break.

Cynthia chuckled to herself when she noticed Kimiko reaching for that rope (or was she pleading to Janie for help?)

“Yeah, Im sure to give you some quarter if you reach that” she thought, sarcastically. Cynthia half hoped she’d reach it an let her guard down.
