If by DPI you mean dots per inches... well, that only matters if and when you print it.
As long as it's in electronic format, the thing that counts is the dimension in pixels. A 300Γ300 drawing printed at 150 DPI will be 2Γ2 inches wide, printed at 300 DPI it will be 1 square inch (thus, if you want a 2Γ2 inches printed in 300 DPI you need it to be 600Γ600 pixels to start with, which is why higher DPI means higher resolution, but only when in print.
