Floating upI'm floating high up far into the stars

Echoes of the world dissolve
This feels like a dream now
Then it calls

I'm really becoming obsessed with photomanips again. Expect more, because... well, I can't pull myself away from my Photoshop window. XD

Weeell first I'd say for the wings, try the clone tool next time. You can get rid of the smudgyness if you flatten and clone the shoulder through the wing joint.
And theennn I'd say to pay attention to shadows! Make a fuzzy pale one below le pony, and a sharper one behind the nearest wing. I've always looked to the original photo, other photos, and other manips when I'm not too sure how the shadows should fall.
And finallyyyy, though this is really just a personal preference, I'd recommend taking the big fuzzy burn tool on a very light setting (like 4%) and running it over the hindquarter to soften up those stark highlights.

I don't really know how to do shadows, and as of my knowledge, my program doesn't have like... a "shadow button", lol, or whatever. And I never even thought of cloning for the wing joint, but gee does it make sense, lol. XD I'll defiantly have to try all of that. Now that I look back at it after reading your suggestions I'm yelling at myself for missing those things, lol. Thanks for the tips, I'm defiantly going to try them now. [[:
