I've decided to challenge myself to draw my favorite pokemon of each type. Moving on to my favorite Dark-type, Absol!

I still remember my first encounter with this creature. Just a few pixels on the screen of my Game Boy Advance - yet all I could think was, 'That is the coolest thing I've ever seen and I don't care what it is, I'm adding it to my team.' (I spent the next several hours trying and failing to catch the elusive pokemon).

Absol's design is basically perfect. The way the sharp arc shape is reflected again and again throughout its design. Its monochrome color scheme and piercing red eyes. It is mysterious. Dangerous. Haunting. Beautiful. Everything a dark-type should be. And I will always adore it.
