...seriously.Chapter 436 Spoilers
From the latest chapter release. Pain really just needs to shut up and commence with the story. But that's just my opinion.
I also like how Naruto is freakin nailed to the ground and still none of Konoha is like, "hm... maybe he doesn't have this one covered?"
Villain's Monologue:
Okay since you asked. I’ll tell you my whole life story cause I’m a villain. And of course villians must always do the cliche monologuing thing and reveal our whole plan so that we can fill up plot holes for our lazy writers and give the hero enough time for his backup to come and save his ass. And just so you know, I’m totally a bad guy cause my parents wouldn’t get me a puppy when I was a kid. Can you believe that? I totally cleaned my room and everything. They were just totally asking to die. I mean seriously. All I wanted was one little puppy. Was that really so much to ask? Really? I’m asking you, Naruto.
P.S. I wrote this comic before they released the chapter where you found out he did have a dog and some evil ninjas killed it. But I was close, right?

I've found this thing like five times but never favorited it... Honestly I just couldn't figure out how... I was still new to the deviantart thing when I found this piece. It makes me smile every time I see it though and when I found it this time I was like... defintely need to put it in my favorites.

It's true. There always is a monologue. It's because the author doesn't want all their hard work developing their villain to go to waste and, as you said, it gives them time to be destroyed. When I become an evil overlord, I will always kill my nemesis immediately and save the monologue for my psychiatrist, best friend, or puppy (I got it after killing my parents). ^_^

You ever seen when they monologue to someone who already KNOWS it? Ugh. That's so annoying. I just wanna, ugh.
Generic Villain: Oh yeah, remember when we were in third grade together?
Hero: Yes.
GV: And you made fun of me for calling the teacher mom?
Hero: Yes, I made fun of you for calling our MALE teacher mom.
GV: And do you remember what I did?
Hero: YES, already, YES! I remember? Could you just KILL me?

Two things I don't get:
Naruto's completely immobile right now, why doesn't he shut up and start gathering natural energy? Then when the fight continues, Naruto is in Sage Mode and possibly kicking ass again.
Pain's original body looks like it's nearing death, so if he was sensible, he'd just seal the Kyuubi and get it done with before he keels over.

The black rod that's stabbed through his hands messes with chakra flow, so if he were to get natural energy, he wouldn't be able to balance it out. He'd turn into a stone frog. That doesn't explain how he was able to go sage mode while the fat Pein was sucking out his chakra, but meh. Plot holes make the manga go 'round.
And Nagato isn't sensible. He's cocky and delusional. He thinks that he is a god, and chances are that he doesn't even realize that his real body is dying. He believes that he has well and truly won, and because of that he thinks that he can take as long as he jolly well chooses. Hence the villain monologue.

You know, I was thinking the exact same thing when I was reading it. FIGHT ALREADY FOR GODS SAKE!
But alas no. All villians must have their time to explain what they're doing, so their plan can be thwarted because they have just revealed everything.
