Eternal Darkness is one of my favorite games, and one that truly is influenced by Lovecraft's works. That being said, you've done a superb job at depicting Pious's fateful decision. In fact, your imagining is more sinister than that of the game's.

This is a very intimidating scene to be in, which to me means extremely well done. I imagine the white light is a portal and can see myself stepping through it, taking one look around, and trying to discretely leave before I turn my pants brown. These three are just huge and so unnatural. I wouldn't give a second thought to the little skeleton soldier boy. Not even his staff made from spines would scare me compared to these three.

I love after how you beat the game once, the artifact(s) from the last playthough is gone and it just gives you that ominus message saying you feel as if something should be there.
