Considering that a werewolf is a man that turns into a wolf, hence the name, I'd say that having second thoughts about the validity of Sonic turning into a werehog, but mysteriously appearing as a cross between wolf and hedgehog instead, is perfectly justified.

but that's not really important,
what's important is,
why are you complaining about that on a cosplayers' picture though?
it's not their fault sonic is a werehog, they just happen to like the character

and you didn't even comment on the cosplayer at all, which was pretty rude.
