I wanted to participate in sylessae 's DA Story Challenge (#DAStoryChallenge ), creating a piece based on the next written prompt:
Leaves sing atop ancient trees - rustling, whispering, teasing the senses - telling a quiet tale of one taller than, gentler than, the oldest oak.I went a little darker and creepier because of course; the creature is loosely inspired by the mavka, a spirit with long hair and no skin in their back, and the lamia. A lonely guardian, with only the bones of the misadventurous victims of the forest for company.
I wanted it to be more painterly and not overly detailed, since is nice to have fun with the shapes and colours only sometimes. Hope you like it! <3
