... when you put it like that, it does make sense. I guess since he doesn't often lose control of his unhappy/sad emotions as much as his anger, I didn't notice that.
Yes the ending was one of the happiest I've seen, mostly because I could really sympathise with wanting just to be happy with family and friends

Glad you watch FMA first before FMA: Brotherhood because hard to watch in reverse order. Only big shame in character that's only in FMA is Lust and Gluttony's story. Alphonse is my personal favorite character.
