A lot of the time artists hide things they don't know how to do, but you've turned that on it's head by hiding something YOU DO know how to do, just 'cause you didn't know what to do THIS TIME, and made something GREAT because of it! 
Also, Zelda's hat is really simple, where a face would be complex, so it puts a nice, simple place in the picture. And that hat is really nice looking and the hat is actually the reason I clicked on this.
Then I realized half this picture is secretly about how beautiful the Royal Guard Armor is in zelda. :3
