So you want to be a Trainer? Oh doesn't everyone? They think it's all easy money, freedom from their parents, a way out of school early. If you're not serious about training pokemon before you start a journey though well- well that's how these kids end up dying on abandoned routes never to be heard from again.

Rhames is a jaded adult who’s trying to figure out the semantics of caring for a literal dragonsaurus in the middle of a metropolis, Lazarus doesn’t understand semantics and just likes the idea of a friend in a world he just woke up to and the two of them gotta talk about the former Pokemon that memento Pokeball Lazarus was caught in used to belong to (It’s not a nice story).
TLDR a gruff bastard just wants a license to let a gentleman dragon sleep on his roof.
