Kallie was born on the remote island of Delimn. This island wasn't a part of any kingdom or overrule other than the one noble who owned the entire island. This noble wizard went by the name Vechnost. In her youth, Kallie dabbled with alchemy and various magics, which were noticed by the ruling wizard. Kallie began to work underneath Vechnost, where she developed a close bond to the many apprentice wizards and experimenting alchemists, even beginning a romantic relationship with a halfling named Edafos.

Vechnost eventually approached the group of apprentice mages and asked them to create a elixir to extend his life and knowledge indefinitely with the promise of thousands of gold pieces and ruling authority over the island. The team got to work and after months of research, Kallie came to a bone chilling revelation. The elixir of Immortality takes several souls to create. For weeks Kallie kept the information under wraps, but eventually Vechnost found her notes and convinced her it was what is best for the team. Kallie tentatively agreed and began the other ingredients for the elixir. Vechnost gathered eight humanoids and bagged them, so that Kallie wouldn't recognize them as she committed the sacrifice. After the deed was done, it became apparent that the sacrifices were Kallie's friends and teammates.

Vechnost was then was granted the curse of Lichdom. Vechnost the Cursed then touched Kallie's shoulder and cast Disintigrate, blowing apart Kallie's upper body and instantly killing her, leaving her lifeless corpse in a pile of her own ash and coagulating blood.

Days later, another resident of the now desecrated island, an elderly Furbolg, found the last remaining corpse in the dungeon halls of the Crooked Castle. A goblin girl lay, covered in rot and ash, alone in the basement. The Furbolg picked up the broken body of the girl and carried her away to the beach of the island, where he used the last remaining life inside of him to will breath back into the girl. Kallie awoke, stiff and with a massive new scar on her upper body, in the massive curled corpse of the kind Furbolg that revived her. Kallie looked to the island she lived on her whole life, now covered in rotten plants and the horrid stench of death from its new ruler, Vechnost the Cursed. Kallie built a raft with whatever wood and sticks she could find and set out to leave the rotten island of Delimn.
