Description I'm 8 months pregnant here with my daughter (pictured in my gallery). This photo was taken by a friend of mine ([link] ) and retouched by me - because you KNOW it needed retouching!

This is one of my bellydancing veils. I was covering up with it between shots, and we suddenly realized how beautiful it was working and we turned on some fans and started taking pictures!

I just think you are beautiful in this pic. Nothing deeper than that.

Ah, last pic. Well, first if you take in order, but I'm random.

Anyhow, as usual, you and your belly make this pic lovely as a matter of course, but I do also happen to like the sense of motion in this pic, almost as if you _are_ dancing. I find that to be exquisite.

Anyhow, thank you for sharing your pregnancy with this mundane folk.

I actually was dancing a little. I know several veil "tricks" that the photographer had me do. I was very surprised how well all these photos came out. Thank you again for your comments.

You were such a beautiful pregger-mama! I can see why you guys would pounce on that wrap. I love that you even own such a wonderful piece of fabric (*belly-dancing,* eh? Rawr!).

Thank you! I love that veil. It was a gift from an old friend, and was custom made just for me. It's much, much loved.

I totally agree!

The woman who made them is now totally retired due to Alzheimer's, so I feel especially lucky to have gotten one of these. She made them for 30+ years and was like a silk veil master!

I love the positioning of the fabric here giving a sense of movement in the art. And you look so radiant, the colors just bring out the warmth and glow in your face! Just fabulous!

You look radiant here Dana, isn't being pregnant a wonderful thing? I know at the time we probably don't think so because of morning sickness, weight gain, swelling, etc etc but the glow you're emitting is positively beautiful!

Thanks so much, Lori. Just about one week after these photos were taken, I errupted in the most horrible stretch marks pretty much over all my torso and legs, plus put on about another 20 lbs (and I carried STRAIGHT OUT), so thank goodness we had good timing before I just got, as one of my friends put it, "deformed". By the end I truly looked as though I had eaten a watermelon and it was resting in my stomach pointing out. People asked me if I were having triplets!!

But yes, up until mostly that exact point, I loved being pregnant. I love that I have these photos.

But I'm never doing it again! LOLOL!

Thank you again.

Awww, come on, baby needs a sister or brother And you know, the stretch marks to me, I'm kind of proud of them......they're definately proof that I really did have my kids

No, we've talked about it (my husband and I) and we don't have the money, room or desire for another baby. Just the one is perfect. The fact that it was a difficult pregnancy and a more difficult labor just help solidify that point. It just makes our daughter that much more special.

Well I didn't mean anything by it, everyone has their own choices to make, no one should push you to do anything that you don't want. And really, you're right, she will be so special. My mom always says she loves all of her daughters the same.....well actions speak louder than words. I have two children, but I know I favor one more than the other. It's only natural I think. It doesn't mean you don't love the others, but they is more of a connection. And at least I admit it, maybe not to openly as to not hurt my childrens feelings but I think my son is smart enough to know and can figure out, because actions do speak louder than words. This way, you avoid any of that! Anyways, I ramble.

I didn't think you "meant anything by it", Lori. I hope you don't think I was defensive or anything. Believe me, I've had a lot more pressure coming from people I know a lot better to have another child, and it's nothing I even think about or get bothered by anymore. I was just letting you know my feelings.

It's all good.

No, I just thought maybe I offended you and I didn't want you to think that I thought badly of your decision. I'm glad it's all good!

very beautiful picture - the shapes are excellent - i dont think you could have picked a better veil - the colour is perfectly matched to your hair and skin tone (and i think you are right i do believe we use the same hair color )

Thanks! The whole veil series was a total accident, but such a happy one.

And LOL about the hair color. We "inner redheads" have got to stick together, right?

Thank you! We got lucky with those shots. The veil was never intended to be part of the photo shoot; it just looked good and we started playing with it. And, voila! Magic!

I love it when stuff like that happens.
