Description I took this Saturday.

This is my dog Chander, he is about 4 years old and only weights 5lbs.

I guess I got lucky with this shot, it was very unconfortable to take pictures of him, he kept moving around and shaking. I am glad I got something I liked out of that experience

(thanks pat for entertaining my dog while i tried to play photographer) lol

i see this as a bit of a piss-take on the clicheed half-face-portrait of a person - something that i too have fallen victim to...
i dunno... somehow by taking a shot of chander here in a similar way, you... well, i guess you could call it pastiche... and maybe make fun of the practice...
or you just wanted a shot of him that wasn't your usual pet shot.
either way, this rocks, the green background contrasts well with mr. chander, and i'm faving this.
so there.
woof.

I absolutely love the subject matter!

The simplicity of the black border/green background is nice, and makes Chandler stand out all the more, and rightly so. Nice composition with only half of his face too!

I like muchly!

I'll just come out and say it...I think this is one of the coolest pics you've submitted. the colors, the composition... it all just oozes profesionalism. I absolutely love that deep, dark green, and brown and white on his fur contrasts beautifully with it.

even the shallow DOF works well, with his snout in focus, and softer blur back with the rest of the body... really gives you a clear focal point.

adding to my favs!
