Despite the different colors this Digimon comes in, only a small group (of wrong individuals) claim that it affects the flavor of the hard candy coating that covers it. On a related note, attempting to consume a Candyballmon will result in the loss of one or more teeth for one reason or another as this Digimon hates being covered in saliva and its body is extremely hard. The closer it gets to reaching its next evolution, the harder Candyballmon's hard candy exterior becomes, some even surpassing the Digital World's super metal, Chrome Digizoid, in hardness. Recently the debate has been open about whether this Digimon belongs to the same family as Mamemon due to its shape, but it is more likely that it is just a coincidence.
Anyone who sees this Digimon as an easy snack will suffer the destructive force of its "Hard Candy Punch", in which it destroys the enemy's teeth with a punch, and "Crusher Ball", in which it rapidly bounces off any surface like an out of control pinball ball.
