Description
Ray and Mercedes, talking about Ray's anxiety problem.Poor guy struggles with anxiety due to things that happened in his childhood, and is terrified of being alone or being abandoned.
SPOILERS AHEAD:
when Spike starts dating Mercedes' roommate, Lillith, Ray is afraid that he'll lose Spike as a friend since Spike is spending more time with Lillith.
All this worrying causes him to have many anxiety attacks when he's left alone. He decides to talk to Mercedes (who he feels is sort of like a big sister to him) and get some advice on what to do.
so that's briefly what this drawing is about. I could tell more, to let it make more sense and have a lot more depth to it, but I'd just spoil things.... :c
it'll make more sense when the novel is done

He kills that one jerk kid named Marco when their fight escalates, freaks out, gets in a fight with Sam (after Sam expresses that he loves Spike and tries to stop him from leaving town) in which Spike gets his jaw broken by a hard punch from Sam.Β Spike then spends a while in the hospital to heal and then flees town.

Sam's emotions can get the best of him.Β He went into a state of no-mind blind furious flow.Β I think the Japanese call it "Mushin".

God this drawing is pretty. How I relate to Ray. For one thing, I LOVE Lions. My favorite cat and my fursona is a lion as well. And I too suffer from anxiety. Dont worry big guy, youre not alone. Just keep your head high.

I can relate to the anxiety situation. Even something as simple as going to the store will set me off. Driving already makes me nervous, then you have to deal with other people being in the isle you need to be in. Then there's dealing with the cashier...it sucks needing to feel like you need to RUN AWAY all the time. I sweat and fidget and everything. Only had one panic attack, so its not too severe, but it still feels awful.

Well done. Proportions and perspective is spot on. I like Mercedes' expression. She looks like shes listening to what Ray has to say, definately giving her an older sibling character, in my opinion. Ray looks like he's afraid what's going on in his mind, the anxiety. When I look at I can imagine what he's feeling. I think you could spend more time coloring the piece to blend in your tones.
I don't know if you would do this... Could you make a piece of Spike and Lilith hanging out, talking, or something? If it doesn't spoil any thing! XD
