This is really quite cool and very nicely done! I love the eyes! And I really like the lighting.
Could you tell me how you did this one and what you used? I want to try some making some digital artwork but I have no idea how or where to start...

thank you. well it's simple really. i've not really had much time to submit any deviations lately because of how busy i am, but i have been working on some other techniques which are similar in structure, to the way i created this piece. when i first started of, i used a lot of soft brushes to get a more whimsical effect. this piece for instance is very soft and almost quite ethereal-like, so it's very important to be able to emulate the mood of the piece you are creating. my best advice to you would be to experiment with what you've got, because digital painting can be very unpredictable. one technique that may work for someone may not work for another person. i remember when i first started, a lot of people that i knew, would play around with the opacity levels a great deal to get different shades, tones, textures etc, but i realised i was comfortable working in a different way, i found that mixing colours to create shade and definition was what i was best at, so that's what i try to reflect in all of my pieces

lol it isn't an effect. its a digital painting i just added the strands of hair to make it look more realistic
