Nuru was kind of inspired by another Fanart I saw somewhere, and, of course, by anglerfish(es?). I am just so fascinated by them and love making dark characters, so yeah.
Also, my friend Mali made a Merman OC, which looks very lovely and bright and beautiful. (that's a link to her picture on Instagram, please feel free to check it out, her art is amazingly beautiful) And she inspired me to make my own "Merman". So yeah, I made a psychopath. I'M SORRY, IT'S JUST SO MUCH FUNNN.
