In this drawing (that took forever to make #ded ), Nuru decided to swim waayy up to the surface at night and see how's it going up there. He didn't expect a bubbly and curious boy to sit that close to the water and staring at him like he was an angel sent from The Heavens™. And he certainly wasn't expecting that boy to bomb him with questions, as he's used to other people and creatures screaming and running/swimming away from him.
Nathan (the boy) is an explorer, always carrying a notebook and a pen, scribbling everything that sparks his interest down. He loves animals and nature, believes in supernatural beings and mystical creatures. And when he sees Nuru, he just..

So yeah, they kind of really get along.
