Description
This is Orayon. He's a kirin, a mythical Japanese beasty, although he's my take on one rather than being traditional.THIS GUY HAS BEEN MY AWESOME MAJOR PROJECT.
I found and was more than impressed by her work. I also found out that she uses Sculpey, a lot of artists on dA do, and it sort of shames me into trying new things. So I changed my technique entirely to follow this tutorial [link] .
I'm happy with the results, but he took me OVER A MONTH! ARRGGGHHHHH....
Oh well, I love Orayon very much. ^^
TIME: Don't even ask....
MEDIUM: Polymer clay, wire, paint, feathers.. other random stuff...
SIZE: 6" from farthest shoulder to tail, 3 1/2" body, 4" tall including horn.

His eyes are just stone beads, I actually used them only because I have nothing else to work with, but I'm glad they turned out ok.
