I did this for 's Fairytale Twist Contest [link] .

This is a picture of the Greek myth Selene and Endymion.

Story:
Selene, the goddess of the moon fell in love with a human boy. He was a shepherd. Because she loved him she didn't want him to die. So she put him to sleep (or in some versions found him sleeping) and made him immortal. He would live forever but at the price of him never waking again.

I decided that if Selene touched him there had to be some visible sign, thus Sesshoumaru's markings. As I was coloring it I decided it also turned his hair white. I also made him a cowboy instead of a shepherd. I blame my maternal grandmother! ( Thanks Grandma! ) The moon's dark because Selene AKA. Kagome is on Earth. Sesshoumaru's pistols (I only had to draw one) are Western Fast Draw Pistols AKA. Deluxe Silver Finish Peacemakers, and his rifle is a Western Lever Action Rifle. I had to look up old western wear and guns for this picture. I almost made Kagome a Native American or a cowgirl but I wanted to draw something more flowy.

I know that I ruined Kagome's left eye when I inked this. Drawn: Jan. 11-12, 2011, Inked: Jan. 18, 2011, Colored: Jan. 27-28, 2011
