History and Personality:
When the world was formed, darkness swallowed the world, light fought back and brought the world into view. Where the light first bounced, a small being sparked forth. She had no comprehension of "good" or "evil", she simply favoured the music found within the light. It was an exciting, intoxicating existence. A being brought forth from Before can but only enjoy the continuing cacophony - yet in creation, there is harmony to be found.
After a time, the energies of creation settled; other elements took form - mixtures of darkness and light themselves - Sellanar sought out others. She found earth - booming, deep and slow. Then air - tinkling, allegro and free. Next came water - cascading, crescendoing yet repeating. Finally she came upon fire - it's slow tones spoke of nothing but destruction and darkness. The foreboding melody caused her to flinch. It would not do. She sought the root of it and found a lulling being cavorting with the melancholy tones. Air had become her favoured companion; they had laughed and frolicked all over as creation came to be - Sellanar wished to share this great excitement with the lethargic beast but it would have none of it.
It growled at her, casting her away! There was a distinct familiarity however; this daeva of the dark was known to her in some way, but she could not place it. Then the growl became words: leave me be Sister. I have no desire for your blinding antics.
Sellanar laughed; laughter so deep and true it made her soul resonate - the familiar foreigner's growls utterly drowned out by the light-giggling.
Sellanar left the brooding mare to her own devices. While she seemed all the brighter in her presence, she felt need for air to carry her higher. She thought back on the darkness and hoped to meet again - perhaps in time she could convince her kin to laugh as she did.
